Thanks so much for reading! I'm glad I could inspire :) *hugs*

Okay, totally random but here's what Jared kinda cooked for Jensen (or what I was thinking of):

Of course it totally depends on what sales are going on where you shop... My roommate and I spend about sixty dollars together every two weeks but we buy more than I listed there. I also buy a bag of frozen broccoli and cauliflower. We buy the 5 dozen egg packs once a month (depending on use) since we go through so many... and have a huge bag of rice that lasts a month or more (costco ;). And we get chinese noodles in addition to top ramen (cause roommate is Chinese). We have a lot of seasonings that last a long time too.

When I make my own dinner I also save have for lunch or dinner the next day... basically I put some olive oil, soy sauce (or other sauce and seasoning ginger, salt, pepper etc), and water in a pan. Then I put in the onion (and celery if I have it), some of the frozen broccoli and cauliflower, I cut up a carrot, a few slices of the pepper, one hot dog or sliced chicken/turkey meat (ham tastes weird to me but roast beef is okay too), and a couple leaves of napa or romaine lettuce (cabbage works too if you like it... or anything green and leafy really). I add one tomato and about a fourth of a cucumber later, enough time to cook/heat it but not make the tomato entirely fall apart.

Doesn't really matter what type of veggies you use really... What we buy depends on sales.

You can either boil the noodles separately or in the fry pan if there is enough room. Or rice tastes just as well but cook it separately (having a rice cooker makes it easy!). After that I cook an egg or two scrambled or omelet style and put it on top. I usually drain most of the water, but not always.

It may not look pretty but it's pretty good. Or I can never make it look pretty. My roommate actually cooks similarly but somehow manages to make things look just as good as it is.

man that stuff sounds good.
i usually just throw veggies and noodles together and boil...
one way to make cheap noodle soups delicious, fry a cubed half a tomato (or a whole one) until it literally almost becomes pasty and add water, add ramen/Chinese noodle, add veggie. You can also pouch an egg in the soup.
