About me, I'm a uni student with little free time and a love/hate relationship with the fandom culture. Hence this is my first LJ. Yup, I'm a n00b, so please forgive any minor transgression, I'm not exactly up to date with how these things work.

Director Vance stepped onto the Heathrow concourse and scanned the crowd. There waiting with a sign which bore his name was a 40ish blond man of average height.
“Hello sir, I’m John Watson. If you will come with me, your luggage is being delivered to your hotel. Mr. Holmes is expecting you.”
He followed the man to a luxury sedan and sat back into the luxurious cushioned interior unwinding from the long flight and preparing his mind for the coming meeting.
The lights and siren behind the car came as a surprise, but the driver didn’t seem perturbed as he pulled to the curb smoothly and drew his papers from a central console while rolling down the window. The following encounter though was as far removed from Director Vance’s view of proper police procedure as it was possible to be.
“Out of the car, Bitch” Sounded a harsh female voice.
Vance watched as the driver stepped out of the car turned and laid his hands on the hood. The officer looked through the window at Vance before beginning a pat down of her ‘suspect?’ “The Freak shopping you out then? How much is he charging?”
******* I’m messing with my own ability to suspend disbelief here so forward to the next scene****
Watson lead him through a warren of hallways to an office overseen by a trim woman who seemed to have a cell permanently attached to her hand. She glanced up indifferently fingers never ceasing their rapid movements across the tiny keyboard, “You may take him in immediately.”
John nodded and opened the door and led Vance into the interior office. “Mycroft Holmes” he introduced, “Director Vance.”
“Thank you John, how was the drive?”
“As expected, Sir.”
“Good, good. You may return home now. Please tell Sherlock that Mummy expects him to dinner this weekend.”
“Yes, Sir”
Vance watched Watson leave the room, and then turned to Mycroft. “We were stopped and harassed.” He said flatly, “That was ‘as expected?”
Mycroft gave a tight little smile and answered, “I am sure you have the name of the offending officer, Director, I will of course, provide you with the most direct channels of complaint.”
