I just met Richard Kruspe.
And it was FANTASTIC. I was at the Combichrist show in Berlin, and we were waiting for the opening band to finish. So while Mortiis was playing, who I don’t really care for, I saw Joey and Trevor walk out. I was like “okay cool they’re catching some of the opening band. And then this girl and this guy walk out and I INSTANTLY knew it was Richard. I was like OMG. OMG IT’S RICHARD. OMG OMG. I freaked out a bit, then I went back to say hi to Trev because I knew he’d be surprised to see me since I’m usually in LA XD. So we talked for a while, and I asked him if he thought Richard would be mad if I asked for a photo. He said “not now because it’d create a frenzy” ..he was right.
So I waited. I stood there, less than five feet from Richard FUCKING KRUSPE and I just watched the show. Until I finally mustered up the courage. I had written a text on my phone because it would be easier than yelling in his ear. I wrote(In German) “Sorry for interrupting. I’m a huge fan from America, and I can’t wait for May in Los Angeles. I was wondering if I could please have a photo and an autograph?” I poked him in the arm and showed it to him. He read it, snickered at me, smiled and nodded. The backstage guy took the pic of us, and then I got the autograph. someone else stood in front of me so I couldn’t say thank you. So I waited for them to be done.
Then I walked back and thanked him very much and asked for a hug. And he gave me a surprisingly tight and genuine hug. And then he ran backstage because people were beginning to gather.
So that was … fffff oh god you guys it was so fucking awesome. And here’s the proof:
We took another one because the guy with my camera told me he thought he hadn't gotten it.
And here's my business card he signed. On my hand.
