This irony-filled tale is based on the autobiography of Solomon Perel, who, as a Jewish German, changed his name and joined the ranks of the Hitler Youth in order to survive WWII and the Holocaust. As Solomon (Marco Hofschneider) climbs higher in the Nazi ranks, being found out seems nearly inevitable -- especially when a gay officer and his severely anti-Semitic girlfriend (Julie Delpy) get close to discovering some irrefutable evidence linked to his religion.
I saw this film some time ago and gave it 7/10 stars. Would like to watch it again.
