LONDON, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Europe faces a slew of national elections in the coming weeks with the focus on what form of coalitions will emerge and whether they will make it easier or harder to make crucial adjustments in the face of the economic crisis.

In Saarland, the guy who won the most votes in the primary 2 weeks ago campaigned on a platform to 1) raise taxes on the rich, and 2) increase benefits to everyone else.
