Bones are amazingly complex, I know they seem like they are simple but they really aren't. Bones have so much more to them then you would think.
1. Red and white blood cells are created within the bones, which is why infections in the bones and other bigger problems with bones are soooooo serious.
2. Bones them selves don't move on their own. When one muscle contracts the muscle moves the less secure bone use the more secure bone as leverage of sorts. So when you flex your biceps your moving the bone directly below it. (Next week will be anatomical terminology so i can explain locations easier)
3. Bones heal really bloody quickly. I mean you have to think about what it would be like trying to make a bit of broken wood heal. This stuff is harder and stronger, and heals in as little as a month. (1 month for the yound, 2 months for middle aged, 3 months for seniors and elderly)
4. They provide the structure for all your little distinguishing features, like the folds in your hands the shape of your face and cheek.
5. With the excpetions one bone in your throat all the bones in your body are connected to each other.
6. Bones provide protection(impact), movement, defense(disease), structure, and provide red blood cells for your body.
Bones really are amazing.
