Since I've been gone...
Long time... no see... short time, for you and me...
hey everyone! um... its been... a few months since I've updated, and I figure, I could maybe make one meaningful post before I take another six months off. So...
What went on in the world since late August?
- In late September I made a bet with my dad over who would win the election. That poor, poor, optimist.
- Bush won the election. He also won a mandate, meaning that 1) since he is in his last term anyway, he doesn't have to be in any way reserved in acting out his agenda and 2) we're sunk, unless the democrats can pull some fillibusters and stick up for us... well... we're sunk.
- My relationship with Savanna turned one. Um... Yay? yeah, that's what I mean. Yay! And, we've yet to fight. I'm wondering what else to say about this... oh well.
- I completely blahed my way throught the Christmas season, trying to enjoy the little happiness I could see through everyone else's stress... maybe eventually I'll celebrate.
- The results from the election sunk in, and I began to worry about my future.
- NEW YEARS!!! and, uh, new years...
- The Dalai Lama didn't allow KFC to build a franchise in tibet... WOOHOO!!!
- Fahrenheit 9/11 won People's Choice for Best Film, but it didn't help anyway. Oh well.
- The tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. The U.S. attempted to donate 15 mill. to the funds, other countries scoff. SO the U.s. donates 35 million, and they still do. So finally, we donate 350 million. Not trying to be anti-patriotic, but if we could've donated 350 million, why didnt we in the first place? It all seems very low to me... and shady. Evil, I tell you. And doom. Lots of doom.
- Oh yeah, I forgot. Russia and China opened talks!!! um... yay? I'm less scared of that than off our "homeland security" problem, if you know what i mean.
So, hope everyone has a good year, and... maybe I'll update eventually.
