SHOUT IT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!
for those of you that don't know, i went to the shout it loud tour at the myth with Collin, Kelsy, & Keith. it was fucking sweet!!!!!!! here is the saga....
so when we got there Against All Authority was already playing & we got about half way into the pit b4 we decided that was a good place. everyone was just standing around chilling. i thought this was going to be like all the other concerts that i went to. just a ton of people packed onto the floor bouncing... so they finished there set and they started setting up for streetlight manifesto.
so we were just standing around in a circle chatting. we were near the back when they started. but as soon as they started they whole crowd started rushing the front in the huge wave! it was awesome the whole pit was goin crazy. it was so cool.
then they finished there set. and Reel Big Fish was up next. these were the guys i really wanted to see since 7th grade. so we got into a good spot to start out & this absolutely huge guy got right in front of me. he was about 6'10" 295. then they started to play sell out. & this guy went straight to the front. & me being a little guy got stuck right behind him & sucked to the front. so suddenly i find my self 6 rows from the front surrounded by guys twice my size. i try to throw my weight around a little to get a little breathing room, but all my attempts just ended in me getting tired faster. so i just kinda stood there & at this point thats all i could do. i had the whole crowd pushing on me to go froward & the people in front of me pushing back.i finally fought my way back & found our group again. while i was back there these guys started hard core mashing & i couldnt help but get sucked in. then after another couple of songs i got pushed back to the front again. there were a ton of people crowd surfing & i though it looked like fun so i went back to Keith, gave him the shit in my pockets then had him lift me up. that was fun. its kinda like floating, floating on a sea of hands. after that they had a path for people to go around all the way to the back. surprisingly i found everyone right away. at this point you could tell the whole pit was getting tired. people were only jumping for stuff they really knew. like there cover of Enter Sandman, and Beer (no not the song by Pshychostick)
after beer they were done. the crowd wanted an encore but none was to be had. so we hit up the bathrooms for watter. we were beat. Collin wasnt going to come in for Less Than Jake. so we had a meet up spot when we got tired. so Keith, Kelsy & i headed back in. i wanted to get to the front, we all did. so we found a great place, closest starting place of the night. they had a price is right feel. they even had the sounds. so we started working our way up. i lead cuz i just got sucked into the wholes, & when i found my way trough i would back track a little to lead the other two closer & closer. finnaly Keith had to bail. he was to tired. so me & Kelsy went onward & up ward. we were on the side, not directly in the middle so the pressure wasnt as great as my last experience up front. we got about 6 rows from front when they announced contestents that would come up & play games to see what albums would make up there set. so they got 2 kinda cute girls & this kind that looked like bryant. (ish!!) when they were announcing there names they had them do a little dance. this kid could not dace, he didnt even try. the crowd was booing him off the stage. they gave him multipul chances but all he ever did was hop around a little. & they were playing funk in the backround, so he had some perfect strut music. it was almost sad how horrible this kid was. after that they played some more songs. and i lost Kelsy. at this point any whole i made was immeaditly filled before she she could come through. i was right in front of the trombone player. it was so cool, you could hear him with out the mic. after about 2 songs of being up there i got sick of it. you couldnt really move. so i went back out into the main part of the floor. there was this crazy circle thing that randomly started & stopped trough out the night. & now it was going stronger than ever so i decided to join. just a ton of people running in a circle bouncing off of eachother. at one point Collin got cought just looking at the circle & some one threw him into it. after a few rotations i was tired so i went to catch up with Collin & Keith.
after a couple minutes we went to find Kelsy. we eventually found her basically right where i left her. so we just stayed there. i was content with that for a while. chillin listening to some awesome boneiage. but eventually i got restless. so i went back to the rotation circle. you could since the end was near so i just went all out, jumpin off people, bounding into some. expending all of my energy. so when it was all over i was dead.
food sounded really good at this point so we were going to go to taco bell cuz i got free taco cupons but the main part was closed. so we went to a gas station & got some chips & me. dew. we could each have 3 cans so i chugged my first one then i got really hyper while we were sitting out by my car. & we did that for about an hour. reminiscing on the evenings events.
