He had been there for the actual wedding, his day off and Elliot called in a favor. It had been small, Ed and Elliot's five kids the only guests because neither Elliot or Jill had thought it right to get married without the kids at least. He showed up to the party because Jill had asked him to, he came as he said he would, by himself. He wasn't seeing anyone currently. He smiled when let in and looked around.

Jill popped up behind Ed and tapped him playfully on the shoulder. "There you are," she said with a grin. "You look good. Though Stark and I agree we need to find you a woman."

He turned and looked at her and chuckled giving her a hug. "Is that so?" He shook his head amused.

She hugged him back and nodded, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "It is. 'Cause you're like the only single guy here and you're too nice to be alone," she said. "If you want, I mean. We're not gonna meddle in your personal life if you don't want us to."

"I don't mind if you do or not." He smiled and chuckled. "I'm a cop not easy to date."

She laughed at that. "Hey. This is me you're talking to. Look who I just married, and he's got five kids. If he can make it work, so can you."

He chuckled softly and smiled. "Homicide detectives are a little harder. We can get shot at more so." He kissed her cheek. "Today is about you guys."

"And theoretically a piano can fall on my head. So what?" she said before she laughed softly. "Fine. I won't worry about it. I'll just give Jayna your number when I see her next."

"Alright." He smiled and looked around. "How are you enjoying married life?"

"I am. A lot. Finally getting settled into the new house and everything, and having five stepkids is a lot, but I don't mind." She smiled back. "Trust me you are definitely a catch. Unless you don't care for tall blonde women."

"You guys are good together." He smiled tenderly and relaxed.

"Thank you. I just knew when I met him that he was the one." She gazed lovingly at her husband for a moment before she turned back to Ed and grinned. "So. Tall blonde ex-models do it for you? Before I tell her to call you."

"She sounds nice." He smiled and leaned against the wall looking around.

"She is. She works in administration at the college." She smiled. "And so are you. You know, thank you for being here and everything."

"Hey you invited me. I'm just glad I was there for you guys as a witness at your wedding." He smiled gently.

"Didn't mean you had to come. And it was good to see you." She smiled back. "I'm just glad no one thought I was crazy."
