Oh my God, that was amazing.
A shame that you didn't make it any longer, I can't think of anything more to add to the plot, but I'm sure you would have. :3
What killed me was that the brainwash, although barely there, was almost sort of like, the only thing that kept Mikey from telling Gerard. Well, aside from Frank making Gee so happy. But it was sort of like brainwashing Mikey into thinking that this is the happiest that Gerard has been ever since he gave up everything for Mikey, or the happiest he will be in his life or something. And if Frank was ever to lave then Gerard will never be happy again. And just, ugh, it killed me. It really did. I love the line you wrote here, it's really witty:
It’s the worst lie anyone’s ever kept and the worst secret anyone’s ever told.
It sort of gives away (in my opinion) that like, it's a lie because Mikey knows (or thinks?) that Frank doesn't love Gerard, but he keeps it to himself. And worst secret ever told, because the knowledge will only ever remain between Mikey and Frank, albeit never spoken aloud.
This whole thing is just beautifully tragic and I enjoyed it immensely. :')
SO BASICALLY, I LOVE THIS. :D Totally worth the wait. <3

Also, yes! I didn't know if the "brainwashing" would be noticeable or not but you caught it :) And thank you. That was actually one of my favorite parts to write. Actually, I just loved writing this entire thing if I'm being honest :3
