I met the Boston guy--McCutcheon. Seems like a pretty nice guy, despite his team affiliation--I know right now that he and Danny would not get along. He said was looking for a bar in the city where he could actually watch the game without receiving bodily harm, and I tried to steer him away from the ones I knew he definitely shouldn't head into. Otherwise, nice guy. Nice to have a uniform around who doesn't know the story of how I got promoted and already hate my guts.
Then I ran into Danny's new partner, Detective Rallita, at the gym. Her and Danny are definitely going to have an interesting time together. I have a feeling that Cragen is going to regret placing them together at the end of the day though.
And I had coffee with the new homicide detective this morning, McCarthy. She seems like a very nice woman, and it's nice to have another girl around the 2-7...other than the Lieu, that is. Generally me and her don't really girl talk, so it's nice to have another woman to do that with.
And--that was pretty much my weekend.
