John Munch walked into the squad room. It was 10pm and he'd been avoiding actually *being* there all day. His day had been filled with meetings, mostly in and out with the Chief of D's. The bullpen was empty, which wasn't a surprise. They'd cleared their case late the night before and nothing else had come in since then. Besides, with news of

Harper walks into the squadroom and stops at his desk, just staring at it for a second, then looks up, noticing the figure of Munch in the office. The only other person in the room. Hesitently, he walks over to the office door and lightly knocks.

Munch looked up, and saw Harper's figure outside the door. He wanted desperately to hide away like yesterday. But this was his squad now, whether he liked it or not. In the manner that Don Cragen--who undoubtedly, never got the alone time he deserved either--he called, "Come in."

He opened the door and stepped inside awkwardly. "Hey Munch.."

"Harper." His clothes were rumpled and his hair a bit messy. He was tired, that was clear. "Can I help you?"

"Um, well..it's been one weirdass day. And I guess I just wanted to see how you're doing with this. I mean, you're our big leaderman now.." Harper replied.

Munch sighed. "I'm alright, Jack. I just need sleep..."

"No one else is here, shouldn't you go home?" he asked curiously.
