What a day.

Woke up to a wardrobe malfunction in that the sweater I had just bought was too low cut to wear to work and had to look for something to throw under it which made me behind schedule and led me to forget to pack a spoon for my lunch and my water bottle

I was covering in a 3rd grade class and these two kids were giving me trouble the second I walked in the door. They wouldn't stay in their seats, talking out, etc. Normal behavior for when someone other than the teacher is in the room... this is why I'd never want to be a substitute!

Anyway... what they did to earn the detention was violate a major classroom rule. The boys are only allowed to go to the bathroom one at a time...and after one comes back the other is allowed to go... well, I was passing out the snack and noticed it had gotten awfully quiet in the room.... they both decided to go at the same time and since i was the only adult in the class, I couldn't leave to go drag one back... they finally come back 7 min later and one proceeds to tell me he has stomach issues and that is why it took him so long. The other said he didn't know anyone else was in there. I wanted to ask whether or not he needed the other one to hold it for him... I think I'd get fired for that though....

So, it was the combo of lying and breaking the rules that earned them the detentions....

These kids are two punks anyway. They're always down in the principal's office for one reason or another. Infact, the one with "stomach issues" has two other detentions this week for other reasons!

I think I'm switching my profession to accounting :)
