I saw a fabulous band last night and thought I'd spread the word. They're British and miles better than Coldplay. They're called Turin Brakes.

oh, and then, after some syrah and hard cider, I went and sang "Yellow Submarine" on kareoke in an Irish pub. life doesn't get much better.
