I must say I had a pretty good birthday. It actually turned out to be better than I thought, considering I had classes all day. I believe the best part of the day was going eat out at Joe's Crab Shack with my newly made medical school friends. It was actually a last minute thing but it was 7 of us in all. We were able to just lay back and relax and not think about school. We of course clowned one another and laughed just about the entire time while we were there! The night could not end without my friends embarrassing me though! You see, this was my first time going to Joe's Crab Shack so I had NO IDEA what they made the people celebrating their birthdays do. If I WOULD have known, I WOULD NOT have gone there, lol. Before I knew it, the staff was at the table asking me to follow them, which caught me off guard. I was like, "Where in the hell are you taking me?" But being a good sport, I followed them to the middle of the restaurant. Then, this girl told me that as they sing Happy Birthday to me, I would have to pretend that I was Joe, the Mighty Crab and FLEX THE ENTIRE TIME! If I stopped flexing at ANY POINT, they would have to start singing Happy Birthday all over again until they got through the whole song. At this point, I was freaking out. I probably was blushing because I was too embarrassed.
So, they introduce me and tell everyone in the restaurant that I am celebrating my 23rd birthday and I will be giving them a performance through my flexing. But let me tell you, AS SOON AS THEY BEGAN SINGING, I BEGAN FLEXING! I was not gonna have them have to start the song all over again! Are you crazy! My friend Gina was right there with her digital camera just snapping away and laughing! Of course, I was the butt of a few jokes when I got back to the table. However, I must say, although I was embarrassed, it was a good way to get a good laugh. I don't remember the last time I was able to just genuinely have a good time with my friends. I am so grateful to have met such good friends. Then, I went home to catch the end of American Idol and after being lazy for a very long time, I made myself study although I did not want to. Well, that is enough for now, until next time . . .
