Father's Day
Alright, so that was meant to be yesterday but that didn't happen the way it was meant to. But I did get to spend some quality time with my Dad. It seems I only ever get to see him when he's around grandchildren and such, so we never get to talk much so I decided to treat him to dinner out. Well, I took Mom too simply because it didn't seem right to leave her behind... they never seem to last longer than a few hours without each other. I hope I don't end up like that.
Since my dad and I like to ramble about varying topics, my poor mother had no choice but try to join in. It was nice to be able to speak to them without being interrupted every five minutes by a child or two. I know he says he doesn't mind but I think deep down he wants a bit of peace and quiet now, especially with mom not doing so well herself.
