Incredible

So Jordan is possibly going to receive a call to a church in St. Louis. If he does we probably won't know until it's too late for me to look for a job. So last week I sent out nearly 50 resumes to private schools in the greater St. Louis area. I have received a few replies, most of them saying they have no openings currently. However, today I ( Read more... )

That's awesome! I really hope, regardless of how exactly it goes down, it works out for you!

Man, I miss the days when I was a Calculus whiz. They were... a long, long time ago, lol.

Thanks. What a cute icon! Makes me smile. Do you still watch Californication?

Heh, sadly no, I gave up on that one a few years ago. I really loved S1, and S2 was still quite great, but it really started to lose its way come S3, and from what I hear it's merely a shell of its former self. A shame, but not really a surprise with such a thin premise.

You mean there's only so many time he can sleep with someone, get back with his ex, have one of them screw it up, and sleep around some more?

That's the only good thing about shows I LOVE getting canceled like 1 or 2 seasons in (Studio 60, Firefly, Dollhouse): There isn't enough time for the writers/producers to mess it all up and make you hate it (Rob Thomas, I'm looking in your direction...) Speaking of, most hopes I have for the movie have been shot to hell with any and all stuff they have done so far--including the "YOU'VE GIVEN US WAY MORE THAN WE NEEDED, BUT KEEP GIVING US MORE MONEY SO WE CAN MAKE THE MOVIE MORE TERRIBLE WITH RANDOM AND UNNECESSARY ACTION SHOTS AND OR SEX SCENES."

But...to end on a better note...sex is awesome.

Haha exactly. Plus, they made a huge mistake, I've always felt, choosing to lean so heavily on the comedy side. What I originally loved about Cali was that it was such a dark comedy (at least in the beginning); that you could really believe Hank hated himself. It was really all that made his character redeemable. Now that it's so slapsticky, it's like... why even feel bad for him when things don't work out? There was a glimmer of hope in the S3 finale that they might return to those roots that made S1 a near perfect season of TV, but alas.

Rob Thomas needs a swift kick in the ass (or three), and has done for years. I wish this whole project would just go away already, and it's only just started. UGH.

Heh, indeed it is. Indeed it is. *cough*
