Well, since I've already told my family, I guess I can tell people on here, too. Christie and I are engaged! We're hoping to get married in July, but of course this is subject to change.

For once, I'm not going to talk about work.

Christie and I have been on a movie-watching bender since I've returned from JRTC. Here are some mini-reviews---

Sin City: Amazing. It was also the darkest and most depraved movie I've seen in a long time. But it was also beautifully done and well written. I highly recommend it.

The Graduate: yeah, it's old as hell, but I'd never seen it. It was very good, but depressing in some ways. Finally seeing it allows me finally to realize what all those references I've seen in shows like the Simpsons were.

Dodge Ball: it wasn't as funny as everyone said, but I still laughed a good bit. It's worth a rent, maybe.

Sideways: A HUGE disappointment. It was about a couple of dorky, retarded losers who went all over Napa Valley tasting wines and ruining their own and other peoples' lives. It had funny moments, but overall it was depressing and shitty. It is possibly the most overrated piece of crap I've seen in a LONG time. I'm glad as hell I rented it instead of buying it. If you haven't seen it yet, don't bother.

Spanglish: a lot better than I expected, but also a bit depressing. I recommend renting it.

Tonight we finally watch "Collateral", the one where Tom Cruise is a hit man and Jamie Fox is his taxi driver. I also rented 2 DVDs of "Family Guy" episodes, so I know I'll be spending a good portion of tonight laughing.

Oh yeah, I also saw a few movies on the bus trip to JRT. Here are some more mini-reviews---

SAW: worth seeing, but not scary like people said. Better than I expected.

Dawn of the Dead: retarded as fuck and a waste of time, like any "horror" movie.

Chronicles of Riddick: I fell asleep, but what little I saw sucked shit.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I finally read the book of "The Princess Bride". It was even better than the movie, and the movie is one of my favorites ever made. The scence where Inigo slays Count Rugen was even better in the book.

"HITCHHIKERS' GUIDE TO THE GALAXY" COMES OUT SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
