damn, I haven't touched this thing in a while

I've been busy as hell lately. At work I had to help prepare for a week long brigade FTX. I talked to some of the guys who have been to Iraq already, and they said the preparations for Iraq weren't nearly as painful as the preparations for this. Ugh. The Army can be utterly stupid sometimes ( Read more... )

Getting fat is a life choice. Staying fat is a dumb choice. anonymous February 7 2005, 01:00:15 UTC
It definitely takes more than one fatty meal to
get fat. We both know that sensible eating is
a full time job. Yeah, I know, the only reason
that I used to run the "Peachtree" was so I could
get away with eating like a pig. We both need to
force ourselves into eating less when we are not
being physically active.
By the way, I have lost 24 pounds since Christmas and a total of 38 since Thanksgiving.
Amazing what starvation can accomplish! :-P
Have fun in the Boonies next week. If you can't
borrow a laser, you can always learn French! ;-)
You must be one of the happiest soldiers in the USA. You have earned your "Expert Infantryman
Bitching Badge with Oak Leaf Cluster". :-D
Now settle down, get a good attitude and be a "good little troop". What angers you now will be looked back upon as "The Good Old Days"!
Get back to thinking with the head where you put your Kevlar helmet. You still have the majority of
your enlistment to serve. The Army does not care
if it is hard time or good time for you, just that
you serve every last nano second of it. Just remember that those mean old sergeants have someone making their lives uncomfortable also.
The difference is that they have learned how to deal with it. If working for a living was so
wonderful, nobody would get paid for the inconvenience of it! Civilian employment is just
as bad and does not have a structured political
playing field. Shape up and get ready to ship out. That is what you said you wanted to do when you enlisted.
By the way, be happy that your mother's biopsy turned out good. Also that your girl friend's
surgery tuned out good.
Life has its good points, too. I will agree that
losing weight is not fun, but both of us knew that
while we were eating like pigs. Straighten up and
march right!
The Old Phart in your life still loves ya!
Quit whining like a liberal! (I'll hear about this
on your 4 day trip!) :-D
