More manipulative shards of evil.

Prepare for venting. Ahh yes, another breakup. This time 5 months. The breakup itself is not bothering me, but what does bother me is that I can see this exact scenario happenning again in the future, because I have seen this one probably 5 or 6 times by now. There are only a handful of reasons for relationships to end, and usually the signs are there early on. I would say 50% of the time, the probelm is communication, but that's not really the case here. I think I've learned to avoid that one. Here's what I don't get. The point of a relationship is to learn how to deal with the other person's problems and to care unconditionally even when it becomes difficult. What the heck do people think a relationship is? You can't just keep dating people until you find a relationship that never has a problem. That's impossible. I think that's what people who are young think. I think that's what I thought when I was in high school. You're supposed to work through stuff! So, if there are really only a couple reasons for relationships to end, then why do people not know what to do when they happen? It's the same thing every time, so why haven't we figured it out yet? This one was meant to end, and I saw it coming a long time ago. I'm smarter now. I should know how to avoid this. But do I? Does anybody actually fight for relationships anymore, or do they just leave and find another one?
