Brian,
Hi there. Once again, I'm sorry about not watching where I was walking this morning. No bruises I hope?
I did have a point in writing you, so give me a second. I thought I should say a couple things and give you a chance to take back your earlier offer. I'm really not looking for anything serious with anyone right now. I think I spoke to you about this a little a few weeks ago. All the same I have enjoyed getting to know you, and I'd be happy with doing so more. I just wanted you to know where I'm coming from. I know this is a little premature when all you asked for was dinner, but I want to be fair to you. I don't want to lead you on. In that, I should also mention that I've been spending time with someone else lately. Quite a bit of time, and I like him. But I've told him the same thing I'm telling you.
I want to be around people that make me happy, improve my day. I don't know what I want more than that. With all this said, if you still want to buy me dinner, I'd be happy to go. If you don't I will understand completely.
