I started at 6:30am yesterday. First call was at 6:32...which is exactly enough time to make sure we have an ambulance, O2 and a cot.
We didn't see the inside of crew quarters till 8ish PM. Thats like 14 hours people. Running calls, working hard, existing off dry sandwiches you grab from the EMS room at the ER. We ran an assload of calls including one hour long transport....well, we didn't do much, we were transporting an NICU team to and from a hospital with a premature baby along on the return trip. But still, alot of calls.
I *maybe* got 2 hours of sleep....broken into atleast 3 parts, last night. Maybe.
I R TIRED.
Me go sleep now.
Cuz I signed up for a short 5 hour shift tonight. Which ain't bad its 5 hours of overtime which is nice and I'm told that the "bar car" as this shift is sometimes called, either gets hella slammed or only runs one call during the shift.
Sleep now.
