(no subject)
Soooo...
Earlier today, I was playing Grandia on my PSP (For the record: Grandia is my favorite RPG evar) and I got to the Dom ruins. My characters are trotting along and then BAM, from out of the sky, 2 orcs FALL directly on top of me. Then I got to making up a story about why those orcs did it... and I was making some heroic speech for them to say as they swooped in from above to smite the evil main character~! Then, 2 minutes later, a customer showed up with a $20 Bill (which I hate) and so after he left, I yelled at him "I hope you get ambushed by the orcs! You'll drive out and they'll hop off the canopy and be like 'RAWR, ORC HERO HAS ARRIVED!' I was able to kill them with my mace, but you don't have a mace, you just have a Suburban! Try to kill an orc with that! HAH!" Then I laughed to myself for about 5 minutes and thought more about the heroic orc bombardiers.
As for current events... I'm being promoted to Assistant Manager at the store, yay :/ Too bad I don't plan on staying there too much longer. Other than that, same old thing: Work, school, sleep, games. Oh! I started playing Vanguard: SoH. It's made by the same people as Everquest, and it is freaking awesome. It feels just like the old days of EQ, except in a whole new world and with new graphics and features. Now, it IS the buggiest release of a game ever, but it's only been out about a week and they've fixed a lot of it. I imagine fixing the rest isn't too far off. I should totally make an orc in Vanguard now, in memory of the grandia orc XD
Hmm, what else... I caught myself up on PSP homebrew. I've been out of the loop for a while regarding hacking the PSP, but now I put on a custom firmware and set it up for playing PS1 games (thus starting my Grandia kick) So far I turned about 20 of my PS1 games into PSP format, and I have about 20 to go... It's awesome revisiting all the more classic PS1 games, though. Games like Legend of Dragoon, FF7+8, Armored Core, Suikoden, Xenogears... <3!!!
That's pretty much it. Today I cash my check, and sometime in the next few days I plan on seeing Hannibal Rising. Hopefully it will be good, despite no longer having Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal :(
