Yeah, my school just recently formed a ragtag sort of DDR club; we meet in the nurse's office after school on certain days. And yeah, there's only two good people in the club... me and some other guy. We're at about the same level, I think...
Anyway, he brings in his own foam pads, and one of the other girls brings in her plastic mat, and it's okay. The foam pad's not so bad, I guess, but my TX-1000 (if it was working right-- see previous post for details) is way better.
The guy brings in his American DDR games for us to play, but practically fainted when I told him I'd gotten (and fully unlocked in two, three days) the Japanese version of Supernova 2. Suddenly he's all 'Pluto Relinquish' this and 'Pluto Relinquish' that... y'know, I have trouble on it on a metal pad without a bar, how the hell are you supposed to do it on a FOAM pad? Or a PLASTIC pad? I'm guessing it's not impossible, but it seems to be more trouble than it's worth. I've finally gotten to the point where I can A Pluto heavy, though, which is good-- I'm finally learning where all the stops are. Soon I'll AA it, and life will be good. ^_^
...Do I talk about DDR too much? Well maybe if I wasn't so sucky at IIDX... D:
