Oh shit! What?
The real estate market in the greater Puget Sound area is *insane*. Even a little beyond insane maybe. I can't even imagine what it's like in California. I recently inspected a property in Issaquah. This property is a postage stamp in a cramped development with a townhouse on it in the hills of Issaquah. The townhouse is nice with lots of great features, but it is in no way a mansion or luxury quality. It was purchased brand new for a little over $475,000. While this is expensive enough for an area that I still see as inferior to Seattle and a parcel of land that one can trip and fall the entire distance of, it is for sale yet again for a much higher price. The property has been listed for sale yet again and is selling for $630,000 only a year later. Oh shit! What?! I honestly don't understand how someone could justify paying that much for the aforementioned house. Even Bellevue isn't that expensive. I just don't get it, you aren't near anything, the schools aren't any better than Bellevue's or those of Sammamish, it's not a waterfront community and in this case larger lots aren't cheaper. People who live on the east side are fundamentally flawed.
