[This one wakes up right in the middle of town. Next to the fountain, even. He'll just sit up and mutter to himself, raising a brow as he spots the journal and picks it up to flip through it

[Oh good god, what. Of all things to witness while out for a walk... although she was still fairly far away when the roar caught her attention. She's completely missed the wing-tearing, lucky her.
She knows she shouldn't bother, especially after that laughter, but Litchi just can't ignore someone in pain. She still seems cautious, though, as she approaches.]
[Litchi shakes her head. Trying to remove them himself? That certainly explains everything, doesn't it?]
I'm afraid they're permanently attached; although you seem to have found that out already. Everyone here has a set of their own.
[Lucky for you, she's got a small first aid kit with her. Still a little on the careful side, she kneels down beside him.] I may not be able to remove them, but I can at least stop the bleeding if you hold still.
I take it you're new here. [Very gently, she sets to work cleaning the wound before she bandages it. It's always nice to have cooperative patients.] There's quite a lot to learn, honestly... but for starters, I wouldn't advise wandering too far from the village. There is a barrier to keep us in.
[She gives him a small smile, letting go of at least some apprehension as she works.] My name is Litchi. You are...?
Just woke up about two minutes ago. [and look at him, he doesn't even flinch!] A barrier, huh. Set up by whoever brought us here and gave us these wings, right?
[smiles warmly, giving a polite nod of his head.] Tyki Mikk. A pleasure, Litchi.
The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Mikk~ [She's finishing up the bandages at a decent speed. This is all so much easier when there's no flinching or flailing involved.]
And yes, the same group is behind it all. They're called the Malnosso... although I'm afraid there's not much else I know about them. They stay hidden for the most part. [Her friendly tone fades a bit.] The wings and barrier are just the beginning of it; there are experiments carried out on us from time to time as well.
[There. Bandaging complete. That wing is... almost as good as new. Litchi puts away her things back into the first aid kit, frowning.] I'm afraid so. Whatever the Malnosso feel like trying out on us, we're subjected to.
I'm... sorry it's not exactly the best situation to be waking up in.
[gives his shoulder an experimental roll ... and hisses. oh well, it'll just be one more scar to add to his already impressive collection.] Sounds like it can't be too much fun. I'm going to guess I can't talk to these Malnosso, either.
[well. he gives her a sharpish grin.] That's alright. You could say I'm used to strange situations.
[That grin of yours is vaguely unsettling, Tyki. Litchi gives a sheepish laugh.] Well, that's... good to hear, I suppose. It should make settling in a little easier.
[oh, really. damn. he's not being as careful as he should be, but, well, he's not sure he cares anyway. he got what he wanted. he climbs to his feet a little slower than she does, but he gives her a little bow anyway, his smile easing into something more normal.]
I'll be just fine, thanks to your care. Are you a nurse or doctor of some sort?
She knows she shouldn't bother, especially after that laughter, but Litchi just can't ignore someone in pain. She still seems cautious, though, as she approaches.]
Are you alright? What happened?

Someone with a horrible sense of humor thought it'd be funny to give me wings without telling me I couldn't remove them.

Ah. Joke's on me, I suppose. Anything else I ought to know about before I end up inadvertently killing myself?
[he dutifully holds still, even managing to look a bit sheepish.]
I appreciate it, miss....?

[oh, what. the friendliness slips for a moment, but he manages to hold back enough that his look is merely surprised, instead of sharp.] Experiments?

Yes, I work at the clinic here and run my own back home. It's really no trouble patching up something like this.
