For I am starting to feel my bento bug coming back. *_*
Before I came to Japan I was making bento every day to take to work with me. Initially, people at the Paper mocked me, but after a day or two they were like..... what did you make today?? :o Heh.
When I moved to Japan, we had school lunch, so I rarely needed to make bento... this made it easy to fall out of the habit. However, since I changed schools in August I switched to bento, because I like having more control over 1) cost of my food and 2) calories. Unfortunately, I'm often worn out and rushed and don't have time to make more than a sandwich and throw in some whole fruit.
The last couple days, though, I've been making proper bento again... they consist of a lot of pre-cooked things that I pick and choose, but at least they've got vegetables and various meats in addition to the requisite carbs. :P I'm starting to itch, though, because there are a lot of cute bento sets at the shops (pink and ruffly, some of them :O), and my poor Chococat bento bag is beaten up and could prolly use a replacement.
Then there are the new ほしい物... new molds for eggs and hot dogs, mini forks for tiny tomatoes and meatballs, etc. ;;_;;
Soooooo maybe. Maybe I might go to Kobe tomorrow to look at my favorite places for cute bento things. I don't know if it's good to go into the city when I should be saving some money, but some new bento gear would cost a lot less than new loli brand. o_o
Auuuugh. Auuuuuuugh. In the clutches of brightly-colored accessories and cookbook photos of adorable bentos that I didn't make (but would like to). *_*
