LIVE REPORT - Nightmare - Kyoto 7/17/2009
My fandom bleeds for me. ;;_;;
I got to the venue early and hung out for a while. It was very awesome to see MAJESTIC TRUCK again, parked outside. XD Also, lots of fans came in yukata because the Gion Festival has been going on in Kyoto. ^^; Met up with tokyorockstar and we headed inside.
I was second row, in front of Hitsugi. ♥ I had a heart attack because, randomly, the Hitsugi cosplayer girl I had met at the Osaka show was sitting right in front of me. O_O She was Gion Festival Version Hitsugi. XDDD I was in a very good spot, but the people on either side of me were annoying because one was a disturbing Sakito fangirl who SHOWED UP LATE, and did nothing but stand there with her hands clasped and watch Sakito the entire time. She didn't move or dance or anything, and if Sakito went off to a far end of the stage, she turned to face him. Oo;;; I feel less weird about my Hitsu fangirlism. --; On the other side of me were two girls who would dance, but they weren't as into it as I was. I wish I was on the aisle cuz the people over there were much more fun. >_< I go to these things to MOVE. I like it down front not only to be closer to the band, but because I want to headbang and furi and stuff.
Anyway. Set and costuming were the same as Osaka, of course. At least this time I could see Hitsugi's makeup much better; he added some red shadow around his eyes in addition to the black he has in the promotional materials. He had his jacket zippered down to short sleeves from the start, but I didn't notice any tattoo stuff all evening. Oo; I'll have to peek again at Hiroshima.
Technically, things seemed okay, although the show started about 10-15 minutes late. Yomi's voice sounded a bit strained during the slower songs. :/ They had just done Kanazawa the night before, so I had worried that they'd be tired, but overall they did a great job as usual. ^^
[THE FANGIRL WANKING STARTS HERE.]
So the guys all come out, and I got really shy when Hitsu took his place cuz he was all of two meters away and I didn't have people mashed in all around me like at Zepp, so I was a lot more visible. O_O;; He got his guitar and then stood there and scanned those of us right in front of him, and when he noticed me in there he was like *stare* for a few seconds, and then he kind of ducked his head and started playing with his guitar. XD
Then, when they started playing, he relaxed and started making his usual faces. I think he noticed it was cracking me up, because he kept on catching my eye and then going BLAAARG. XDDD A couple times, though, he just gave me this kind of vacant smile, and held it so that I wondered what the Hell he was looking at. ^^;; Very briefly, one of those smiles turned weary, and I wanted to tackle and pet him and let him take a freakin' nap. ;;;_;;;
Also, this is the closest I have ever been to Yomi, and he is an INTENSE little bastard. XDDD He actually freaked me out. During one of Sakito's guitar solos early on in the show, he caught sight of me and was like *STARRRRRRE*. Like hardcore, old-Japanese-man staring, for about 15 seconds. With some weird expression on his face. Oo; I thought he was staring cuz i'm ugly or something. ;;;_;;; Now I'm wondering if he was checking me out. I do have boobs, after all. XD Also, it must not go unnoted that 1) those plaid pants are REALLY. TIGHT. and 2) He's been working out. Oo; He looks fantastic!
As for other member encounters, Ni~ya was over visiting us several times, and I was surprised that Sakito came right over in front of me and played for a bit, and gave me a big smile. XD They seem like sweet guys.

Since they started late, there was noticeably less MC time. I didn't catch a lot of what there was because I was either reeling from one of the harder songs, or enjoying Hitsugi, but there was something perverted involving takoyaki. Maybe tokyorockstar caught more of it. XDDD
I also don't have a setlist yet, because I suck. But I can list what I remember; many of them were fantastic songs that I was SO EXCITED to hear live. In no particular order, and including stuff in the encore: GOT IT from a nice person on mixi. I wasn't that far off, really. XD

the LAST SHOW (YESSSSS. This and Dasei Boogie are SO MUCH FUN to dance to; everyone bops and twirls around, the fans, the guys, everyone. Sakito and Hitsu dance together while playing, and the guys like to come to the edge of the stage to watch the fans. XDD These two songs seem to always be played back to back and I would really miss them if they left them out of the set.)
メビウスの憂鬱 (FABULOUS.)
惰性ブギー (This was absolutely wonderful. For both this and LAST SHOW, Hitsu came right up to our edge of the stage--ignoring the fact that the staff had a little line on the floor where the fans were supposed to not cross--and encouraged us to boogie around him. XD We obeyed. He was having a blast with all of us twirling and bumping into his legs. XDDD Then during Dasei Boogie, he has a bit where he always twirls his tail in a big circle... he came right over to me and Hitsugi Cosplayer Girl and swung his tail at us right off the edge of the stage. 8DD We swung our tails along with him , and were very happy girls. XDDD And yes.... I wear a tail to shows. I'm making a new, nicer one for Hiroshima ^^;;;)

極東乱心天国 (We sang along again. This time, though, a lot of us were headbanging up front, so the guys--minus Ruka--all got on the stand in the middle and mirrored our headbanging while playing. XDDD It was completely awesome. When our heads lifted, the guys' were on their way down. Yomi's face was SRS BZNSS. XDDD)

..What was very odd is that there was no dogma, and thus, no member call. I was very surprised. :/ Maybe it was cut due to time constraints. Sure, we all know who they are, but we want our chance to scream their names in unison. XD
And then, during the encore, was the terrible, awful accident Hitsu had. >_<;; I think it was indeed during 自傷 that it happened. He was on the drum stand, playing, and went to jump off when he tripped and went flying forward and down, and he landed HARD on the stage on his hands and knees. >_<;;;; We were just standing there in shock, watching him, cuz for like ten seconds he was down, his head kind of resting on the stage, and I thought he had busted something and wasn't getting up. And then slowly, he rolled over onto his back with this painful grin and continued to play. ^^;;; Yomi didn't even notice any of this was going on.
He slowly made it up to his feet to continue the song like usual. Then, when the song ended, he stood there grinning and covered his face with his hands like OHHH MY GOD. ^^;;; Then he started to panic and looked at his knees and costume shorts, and was like AUUUUGH.
So then, he comes over to our edge of the stage again and he's like OMG YOU GUYS I FELL AND ACCCCCK LOOK AT MY LEGS, and he pulled up his shorts to show us his knees. Both knees were scraped, and his left knee was bloody. ;_; We were all like "there, there" and encouraged him, but you can tell he's the type who wants to be fussed over when something like this happens. XD I would gladly do so if asked...
Then he goes back upstage and Yomi is like WTF happened? And we were all laughing cuz Hitsugi went through the motions of explaining to Yomi how he fell. ^^;
The morning after. Ouch. He'll have scars from this, but they'll be like battle wounds. XD He should be proud of them. I'm hugely impressed by the fact that he took that crash and kept going. ♥
At the end, none of us in that area around Hitsugi got any present handouts (although I nearly got a drumstick that Yomi threw towards me ^^;); the guys mostly went to the far edges of the stage to hurl the handouts out farther. But that's okay, because we got to play with Hitsu and everyone, and Hitsugi did dump water on us twice. 8D Sakito has a good arm; he got another water bottle up to the second floor. Oo;
Then it was time for everyone to go bye-bye, and the Cult of Hitsugi was sad to see him go, but it was understandable that he was hurting and tired. ^^; He was the last off the stage, as usual, though, and after he said OYASUMI!!, he started to walk off the stage, but then he comes back to the mic and points to the drum stand, and he's like "I FELL DOWN." XDDDDD And after he got our sympathy again (how can we not be like AWWWW!), he went off. ^^
And then, either because we were raucous or because the show was running late, the venue staff kicked us out really fast. XD tokyorockstar and I walked to the subway station and we headed out.
I took the wrong JR train to Osaka. XD I hate JR. The End.
The next show is Hiroshima on the 29th. They are on break til then, but they're busy doing other stuff in the meantime (PV filminggggg. I am so curious about what it's for O_O). Poor overworked boys.
Because i'm in the process of getting a better seat for that show, morbid_moods may be joining me there! I'm looking forward to it. ♥ がんばろう！
