Okay, back from [x]pest eve at Osaka International Convention Center, and I am quite tired. XDDD
Was in Osaka for the weekend for a friend's goodbye party, so I spent Saturday afternoon shopping and walking around Shinsaibashi. I found a whole bunch of Yomi cosplayers on Ebisubashi. Oo;; They were hyper and cute. They made me feel old. XD
Sunday I was tired and cranky (don't get drunk the night before a live), so I spent 1000 hours getting ready (again, saw more Yomis in the McDonald's Oo; They all love doing his Яaven Loud Speeeaker costume, with the yellow plaid overalls XD).
Got to the venue early to get goods... the Osaka International Convention Center is kind of out of the way and a pain in the ass to walk to from the subway station, but I found it easily enough. Went up to the main hall floor and BOUGHT STUFF. >D I got the keitai strap (it's sparkly!), the pamphlet ♥ ♥ ♥, a pack of the trading cards (3 Yomis, 1 Ni~ya and 1 Hitsu), a towel, and a hoodie. >D
This hoodie is great... I had wanted a t-shirt with the "9" design I've been seeing, but I have boobs and body fat so it's impossible to wear t-shirts designed for Japanese women. But they had an L-size hoodie with the design (see below) at the venue, and it's close to fitting (L size in Japan = small elsewhere), and will prolly be just right after I wash it and hang it to dry. It has a double zipper, too, which is awesome.
I LOVE how simple and yet awesome this design is. Despite being an unlucky number in Japan (the pronounciation sounds like "pain"), I consider nine my lucky number (it's my numerology number and was my late brother's sports jersey number).
Dropped by the charity box and put in a sen bill, and they gave me a special card. :D Dropped off Hitsugi's present. This time around it's a Guns 'N Roses compilation, because I am silly. XD The little cat has magnetic paws, so he clings to stuff... I added him cuz he was cute. ♥
After shopping and playing with Gatchapon (I got two Ni~ya pins and then the Ni~ya "N" keitai clip. Do you think the universe is trying to tell me something? :P), I watched cosplayers and pre-loaded water before going in and getting my seat.
AHAHAHHA, my seat sucked. I could see everything, but after being practically on top of Hitsugi last time it was lonely being way far away.
Crappy keitai pic of my view of the stage. You can ALMOST see the sign that says "no photos". XDDD
I need to mention here that the show was far from Sold Out. I was kind of surprised and disappointed by this. I had no one sitting on either side of me (more room to thrash XD) and the girls sitting a couple seats down from me didn't even stay for the encore! D: I also saw a couple of empty seats in the front row.
The show started up.
Costumes:
The guys wore their majestical parade stuff. Hitsugi was With Tail. XD I was sad because I was much farther away this time, and I really would have enjoyed seeing his bare knees. XD Personally, I liked the Can you do it?/Parade of Nine costuming better, but hey, the Sakito fans get to see some flesh. And Yomi wore shoes. D:
Stage and acoustics:
The stage was pretty cool; in the opening few songs it was draped with red velvet, and the lighting going across Ruka made cool shapes on the fabric. I was sad when the velvet got taken down. D: The lighting was good, BUT, I was annoyed with the smoke machine. The smoke was heavy in front, and with lights shining into it it was very difficult to see the guys. --;
Also, the sound was kind of off. It seemed like they had longer pauses between songs cuz they were adjusting or something. Yomi's voice was often hard to hear, and especially hard to make out on the slower songs. :/ Generally, it wasn't bad, but I don't think that hall is well-suited to that kind of show. My friend (who was covering the show for a magazine) said from where she was the sound and Yomi were even out of sync. Oo;
During Cynical Re:actor you could barely hear the woman's voiceover. I wonder if that was intentional or not.
MCs:
Yomi said that he and Hitsugi were going to start *writing back* to the people writing them letters. OO; Not sure if this was just an idle ambition or if they're serious. I only put a short note in the Hitsugi present for this live; I now want to write an actual letter. ^^; Yomi asked Ni~ya and Sakito about it, but they're like "uh, we're lazy." He didn't bother asking Ruka. :P
After the break (very short break this time.. Yomi returned very soon after to start talking to us ^^), Yomi comes out and starts picking on us about our chanting "en-core" (actually "an-ko-ray" in Japanese :P). He's like, this is so boring, is this what you're supposed to do? And the consensus was that yes, they chant Encore at most lives where an encore is involved.
Yomi decides this is not good enough for Nightmare, so he has us start chanting "OI OI OI!" instead.. and then he goes off stage, the lights go down, and he's still prompting us from off stage. XDDDD It was funny.
He comes back out again, and he's like "ok, that wasn't bad, but what else should we try?" He taught us to do a "C" pose (a la The Village People) as an homage to C-Block (the production company, I think), and the entire rest of the show there was this occasional "Let's all do the C again!" thing.
Yomi asks for another suggestion....and as is inevitable, someone goes "SUKEBE!"(lecher). And everyone started chanting "SU-KE-BE! SU-KE-BE!" and I think we ACTUALLY EMBARRASSED YOMI. XD He's like NO STOP ARRGH OKAY LET'S BRING THE GUYS BACK OUT INSTEAD.
Sakito and Ni~ya come back, and apparantly Ni~ya had hurt his leg on a piece of equipment during the first set. D: He said he was okay, though. Then he went all S and told us to "damare" (shaddup). XDDDD The crowd loved Sadist Ni~ya; it reminded me of Saki at the Grand Killer Show.
Hitsugi comes back, and greeted us with the cutest KONNICHIWA! I have ever heard. XDDD He pointed out to everyone that he had two dudes directly in front of him (one of them was a staff guy I think), and that it was amusing him. When he first came over to his spot on stage, there was an exchange of "ossu" (a very manly, informal "good morning"). Unlike the girls, the guy would be like WAKU WAKU for a song, and then he'd just stop and be calm and quiet. I can't make the sound effect Hitsugi was making to signify the guy's lack of WAI WAI. XD It was cute.
Bahahha. If I can't be down front at least it was a GUY who was right in front of Hitsu. XD Must ganbatte for Budokan!!
[EDIT] Ugh, I fail. I totally wasn't paying attention while Yomi was chatting with Ruka, but my friend told me that he was asking Ruka if he could see his nipples, or if he wanted to touch them, and Ruka was like "...that doesn't sound very fun." XDDD I can't believe I missed this, but I was probably sucking on my water bottle/toweling off/staring at Hitsugi. :P' [/EDIT]

En6. the FOOL (Okay, it was actually The Fool this time. :D They extended it, of course. ♥
Again, NO NAKED LOVE. WTF.
At the end, there was the usual throwing of stuff, and while I was too far to get anything this time, Sakito managed to throw a water bottle up into the second floor. :O We applauded him. As usual, Ruka was the first to vacate, and Hitsugi threw his sticks for him this time. Ni~ya said "THANK YOU!!" in English. XD Hitsu was the last off the stage, and told us thank you and good night, and waved bye-bye. ♥ XD I wish we could just sit around on the stage after the show and talk to Hitsugi cuz when it's time to leave, that's what it looks like he would actually rather do. ^^;
Everyone filed out, and to our surprise, there were two BIG equipment trucks parked next to the building entrance.
MAJESTIC TRUCK IS MAJESTIC.
Ahahahha, I would love to drive this truck around (or just see it driving around). There was one other truck and they were open, so we were all peeking in. Nothing exciting in there, just blankets and straps and things for securing expensive things. XD
Then I went and caught the subway and went home. And today I am hurting from headbanging and jumping. X_X
Overall the show was good. Of course, they played a lot of fantastic songs, so something would start and I'd get really genki and excited. XD I get a little annoyed when people don't headbang or furi, and there wasn't as much energy as there was at the Live House show. I personally think there ought to be more furi for Nothing you lose, but people weren't trying. D: At least everyone went apeshit for Shounen Terrorist (if they didn't, I'd be REALLY annoyed).
I still have some items on The List of Songs I'd Die to Hear Live (in order of DO WANT):
1) Mahora
2) レゾンデートル
3) Яaven Loud Speeeaker
4) Star[K]night
5) パンドラ
... the list will prolly get longer.
Anyway, yeah. Nightmare is definitely more enjoyable at a live house, but they make me so happy no matter where I see them. Their lives are so satisfying that I want to try and get a ticket for the Hiroshima show and see if I can take a day or two off to see them down there. >D I LOVE YOU, GUYS!! Hitsugi most of all お疲れ様でした~!
