Those days working at the comic shop are long gone.
Wednesdays was (is) new comics day... the boxes came in about 11am and I'd tear into them, and get everything shelved by about 1, and do all the customer draws. I really miss that (despite the fact that I worked for a jerkwad), because it meant I would have MY comics before ANYONE ELSE. --; And I would totally ignore the loud guys in the back playing Warhammer and read my nice, new pile.
Now I am trying to order a couple of issues of Usagi from Things From Another World, and for some reason the issue that came out this week is still listed as "preorder". Is there a delay on them getting their goods from Diamond or whomever supplies them? Cuz like I mentioned above, the release dates meant that the shipments GOT there on that day.
I dunno. I am just annoyed because I don't want to pay to have two issues shipped separately, which is what they'd do if I put in the order now... it's torture enough to have to make myself wait until two are out to buy them, but having to wait until they're both in stock is ...also annoying. HISS!
At least I have some actual books to read (thanks to many of my fellow ALTs cleaning house), so I am not outright dying for some English-language reading material. BUT I WANT TO READ THIS NEW UY STORYLINE. It has a new, cool-girl character. :3
