Ahh... Back in Seattle. (Which, as my G-mail status currently points out I don't really like but it's home.)
Portland is still probably the place I would move to if I could move. It seems like a nice city. I have friends who live there. And my family is right across the river. I do miss my family. I still wanna go to the Bay Area, but that's not gonna happen for a long time if ever.
The Portland trip was really rather a bust for me over all. But the Brewfest was neat. -Especially since it can be compared to the Seattle Beerfest. Portland's was in a much larger space, and had much more seating. However, there didn't seem to be the same sort of range of beverages that Seattle had. If there were any hard ciders or meads I missed them entirely. Also, the majority of the beers we tried just really weren't that good. So.... Seattle for the better and more varied beverages, but Portland for the venue I guess.
Now. I'm drinking a nice cold soda, and eating some soup (I'm still a little hungover, but it's really not too bad anymore.) Then I'm gonna take a long, thorough shower because man but I feel filthy!
In closing:
I realize I've never made a casserole. I don't think I'll be remedying that tonight. But I think I will experiment with krumkaken[sp?]. I also need to experiment with abelskivers[sp?]...
