Pride Parade! Tomorrow!
Hey folks!
Tomorrow is Pride Parade. I urge all to come! Yes, mostly just because the library's Bookineers will *finally* be back on the streets. After the failures of last year we return once more to Pride. And I am only vaguely disgruntled, (the hats have gone missing, and the fellow who was supposedly storing them claims he never had them; also Childer -who is my traditional march partner- has been sick and will not be taking part). But, all this aside, come check out Pride. I think it's actually more fun when you're watching. When you're marching you don't really see a whole lot besides the rear end of whoever/whatevers in front of you.

In Closing:
I think I mostly just love the fact that I live/work somewhere where the library can participate in the Pride Parade, (and while the library [Bookmobile at least] participates in several parades Pride is the main one). I have met several people from other areas who gape at me when I start listing off parades SPL does and say Pride. "Pride? Like Gay Pride? The library marches in that? *As* the library?! That would be a scandal for my system..."
