Well, the summer is quickly winding to a close. My Summer 2008 Semester course will be done this week, and after that, I'll have a few weeks of relaxation before I start the Fall 2008 Semester on August 18. Currently, I'm debating on whether I should just stick with six credit hours for this semester or attempt to take twelve credit hours this semester. The only thing that's really influencing my decision is the cost of taking twelve credit hours worth of classes, because, keep in mind, I do not have any loans, grants, scholarships, or any kind of financial aid (I'm trying to steer clear of loans, because I'm already in debt because of my car loan payments, and I don't have a sufficient G.P.A. to apply for scholarships or grants). I'm sure I'll come to a decision about it sooner or later.
In other news, not too much has been going on this summer. Beyond working and going to school, that mostly sums up my summer in a nutshell. Often, I'll hang out with Monica and her friends, and I'm mostly found online talking to friends of mine. I would like to take a trip out-of-state before the summer's over, but I don't have a lot of free time left to take a trip, and I wouldn't know where to go anyway.
Speaking of free time, from August 1, 2008 to August 5, 2008, I'll be on Paid Vacation from Wal-Mart. I'm not sure what I'll do on August 4 and 5, but I'll be attending Tokyo in Tulsa and Defcon 7/Mini-Con 7 on August 1 - 3, 2008. Quite honestly, I was lucky to get that vacation time, because sometime after it was approved a month and a half in advance, we were told that we cannot have August 1 - 3, 2008 off because of Oklahoma's Sales Tax Holiday for back-to-school time. Since I was already approved the vacation time well in advance and I've already bought my tickets for both conventions (I paid $30 for the three-day Defcon 7 VIP pass and $20 for the Tokyo in Tulsa three-day pass), my Assistant Manager didn't say anything about it. I'd like to get a new camera before the conventions, but I don't think I'll be able to afford getting a new one until after the conventions are over. However, when I get paid this Thursday, I'll see what I'm looking at from there.
Well, this was an incredibly short entry compared to some of the longer ones I'm prone to typing, but honestly, there wasn't much to talk about. Anyway, I'll post another entry sometime after the conventions.
Ciao for now!
