Feb 15, 2010 15:17

This tutorial will show you how to create something like this...

Program: Photoshop CS2
Difficulty: Easy
Steps: 13 Steps

1. Create a new document.

2. Create a new layer. (it's circled in red.)

3. Next click the Text tool bar. (it's circled in red.)

4. Pick the font type Arial Black, and size it to however big you want. Mine is set to 83pt.

5. Next right click the text layer, and press where it says Select Layer Transparency (it's circled in red.) It should outline your text.

6. Next get an image you want, and put it in it's own document. Than go to Edit > Copy (it's circled in red.)

7. Than go back to your text document and than go to Edit > Paste Into (it's circled in red.)

8. Your image should now be in the text. Make sure the image layer is above the text layer (it's circled in purple.) Than right click

anywhere on the document and click Free Transform (it's circled in red.)

9. Than hold down shift and drag one of the corners until it is sized down to the way you want it. Than hit enter.

10. Take out the Text Layer and than you should have only two layers now, a Background layer and the image layer. Next right click

the image layer. Go to blending options. (it's circled in red.)

11. Input what is below than hit Ok.

12. Crop the image, and than delete the backgrounds layer.

13. The finishing product should look like this when you're done save it as a GIF or a PNG. Though PNG is best if you want the drop

shadow to show up, however if you are on IE than you will probably wanna skip step 11 and save the image as GIF.
