Where do the days off go?
Quick weekend. Friday I went and saw "Darjeeling Limited," the new Wes Anderson Flick. Yes, I liked it. It has his signature feel, some funny bits and some things to think about. Later on I went over to Kelly's for drinks and finally met the infamous Beckerman. Totemo omoshirokatta. Kare ha honto ni kichigai desu.
Saturday was Oktoberfest! I couldn't believe how packed that place was. Rian and I drove down (actually, I was the fool who ended up driving) to Torrance's Alpine Village. First we walked into a restaurant and were baffled that Oktoberfest seemed to be so reserved... until we realized it was actually in the giant beer-hall on the other side of the parking lot. Yes, there was beer. Yes, there was a German brass band. Yes, we all sat at long tables and I even danced a little. The food was horrible. There were a lot of friendly people there and it was pretty great. I didn't know what to expect before we went but I will definitely try and go again next year.
