Somehow I ended up with like no money... I bought a few things I didn't really need at one time. Trunk, USB key, Swiss Card, etc
So I've decided that now is as good a time as any to break into what was going to be my Half-Life 2 fund if I couldn't afford it at the time.
I've now pulled 53AUD out of
this 2 litre Coke bottle and the level has dropped about 2.5 cms or about inch in non-standard measurements.
I needed $20 or so to pay for food and drink at Adam's LAN (he got $15 in 50c pieces) I went to which is all well and good until the next morning when another Adam woke me up and asked me to work early, which was fine except that it gave me an hour to pack up Sam and myself, and drop him and his computer home, unpack my computer, shower, get dressed and go back to work. Which would have been cutting close, but possible. Possible until Brendan decided to lose his wallet at the snow with my phone number being the only contact details in it and a letter from a place of employment that I had an interview a week earlier had been delivered while I was at Adam's. So I went to open it in my bedroom and continue getting dressed while I still had some chance of getting to work on time. Which lasted about five seconds, until my dad said, "Can we read it too?" So I walked back and handed it to him and responded, "How about you open it then?" My mother was not very appreciative of my tone and said something that I can't remember, and I retorted, "I have to go to work." "Go to bloody work then," as she grabbed the envelope out of my dad's hands and threw it towards my place at the kitchen table.
I'm still flummoxed by her only wanting to open my mail when I haven't given her permission, seriously, what the hell?
I'm counting down the months...
To end on a happy note. Not sure if Kaa still reads this or not, but HBC if you do Happy Birthday.
