Well, tomorrow is the big day. I"m as prepared as i'm going to get! I like Milwaukee, it seems like it could be an ok place to live.
My flight was relatively un-eventful. Grandma and I took off at 7am on Saturday from Logan and we landed in Milwaukee at 8:10am Milwaukee time. I chose to stay at the hotel across the street from the hall so the whole "get to the hall" thing wouldn't' be stressful, and if I were to have down time between rounds I could come back to my room. I asked for a corner room, and they gave me one, but the corner rooms are super small. There are 2 windows, which is nice, but unfortunately it means the sun comes in really strong. My first day here the air conditioning would come on and it would get FREEZING in here, and then it would go off and turn into an absolute sauna. My cello was not happy, and I spent a good chunk of time tuning. I called maintenance and they showed me how to use the thermostat. Its ok now, it still not great, but its doable. Anyhow, I spent the last 2 days settling and getting ready and although I feel as if I need more time, tomorrow is the day. Grandma and Aunt Edith are taking very good care of me, getting my meals, drinks, snacks, anything I want. Its very sweet of them-maybe everyone should go to auditions with their grandma!
ok, off to bed.
