I'm the golden queen of Shadow Galactica!

It's been awhile since I've updated, so I'll just do a quick once-over...
Gary came and stayed with us for a few days about two weeks ago. It was extremely sweet. My conversation time with him totalled over 24 hours though, so trying to detail exactly what we talked about is impossible. I will just assure you that me and Jeremy had a good time with Gary around. And fortuantely, he will be back to visit us sometime next week.
This is my last day of Easter break, sadly... *sigh* This is pathethic. I gave up spending Easter with my family to go to the EveryWoman dance concert... Which I thought was on Saturday. And it was on Friday. That's forty dollars wasted... And quite frankly, the worst part about it is that I won't ever be able to see the show. It was a one night only thing.
Jeremy decided that he wanted to make up for it for me, even though he didn't have to... So he took to me to what is literally one of the nicest restaurants in town. It was a place that I think I talked about awhile ago... But I'll revisit that.
A chef that had finished travelling Europe and competing on The Iron Chef decided he wanted to open up a restaurant on the Short North and call it Rosendale's. He did this AWESOME promotion during the Holiday Hop. He gave out free s'mores, egg nog, hot chocolate, and roasted chestnuts in front of the soon-to-be restaurant. We talked to him and he seemed awesome and we vowed to return one day to give him our business. So now I'll talk about Rosendale's.
First, don't even think about visiting this place unless you have cash to burn. Also do not plan to visit unless you can interpret the language of gourmet, otherwise you may have no idea what you are ordering. The entrees will run around 30 dollars on average. Jeremy gives a thumbs up to their Long Island Iced Teas, and says they are awesome. The presentation of *everything* is absolutely stunning, and very European. Jeremy ordered ther vegetarian entree, which he says was delicious. I got the seared scallops, and those were also very good. I couldn't finish all five of them though... I could feel those damned little fish clogging my arteries.
We shared dessert, a delicious banana cake with milk ice cream and rum soaked pineapples. It was the tiniest and one of the most delicious desserts ever.
Jeremy terrified the waitress and gave her a 25% tip. He said he had to test her before he would give her a good tip.
It was bitter cold, so we went to catch a movie afterwards. We went to see the Namesake. I fell asleep, because I was tired.
But anyway, before I fucked up and ruined Easter for my family by not being there, I spent a delightful two days with my family. We ate at Dante's and then the next day, me and Mom went to the Bulk Food Store (Amish grocery store) and stocked up on AMish goodness, which I brought home to me and Jeremy. Some of my prizes:
Potato soup mix, boysenberry jam, southern sunshine jam, kiwi jam (couldn't resist), rice pilaf, boysenberry nectar, various cheeses, fried green peas (make a good snack), etc. I also brought home instant coconut pudding mix. Like anyone cares.
Yesterday I got a lot of work on my papers done, and Jeremy finished his thumbnails for his graphic novel and has now started drawing the actual pages. He should have one whole page finished today.
I went to Polaris today with the one intention of buying a blowout brush.... *sigh* Goddamned kiosk people. I ended up buying a lot of new make up... GOOD make up, but still, it was money. It's pretty sweet makeup though.
Then of course, this incredibly hot Jew got ahold of may and got me to buy this nailkit thing that makes my nails really shiny!
See, this update is actually really boring. I would go on a rant about something, but I do not know what to rant about. *I* care a lot about make up and nail shit, but the rest of you probably don't :(
Okay, here's a mini rant:
Myspace. Goddamnit. People need to stop trying to freaking FRIEND me when they have no idea who I am and obviously do not have any interest in knowing who I am. Maybe they just want a hot girl in their Top Friends list. Maybe they want to me to have a free iPod. Maybe they are on a quest to have 20000 friends. My God. Who cares? What does it mean if you have 2000 friends on Myspace? Unless you are a celebrity of some kind, everyone that sees that knows damn well that you don't actually have that many people who know who you are. You just managed to get a whole lot of people who were either not ballsy enough or didn't care enough to deny you. If I do not know you in SOME way, there is no way in hell you are getting on my friend's list, even if that makes me NOT HIP and I have 35 friends versus sixty thousand. Either make an attempt to get to know me, or do not bother. Assholes.
