Boiling potato skins and leaves in beef broth doesn't smell as good as I thought. If I put a chocolate chip cookie in it, will that make it smell better?

I'm working on a lot of violins right now. Being busy is nice. I guess they make good Christmas presents.

Does anyone know of good materials to make varnish? Winter is coming so it gets harder to find slugs and centipedes.
