The summoning process does that. Your memories may return in time.

You were summoned. Shade Impulse looks for people of strength to recruit into its ranks. You appear strong. Thus, it was decided to make use of your abilities.

Be warned, however. While I will allow this duel between you and the other new recruit, it is NOT to be to the death. The loser will face...penalties due to their weakness as well. Shade Impulse is a home for the strong, not the weak. Remember that.
