- Whenever I listen to this piece, which isn't that often, I'm transported right back to that time in my life. It was an interesting time for me in that I was suddenly growing up all in a big rush. I was learning so much about myself and about the world in general. It's a time I look back on now with great fondness. I remember it being so transformative, but now it feels such a long time ago. Like it was someone else. In fact, choosing this song yesterday, I was inspired to look back through my LJ from that era. There is so much in there that I suddenly remember. But I also remember all the things I didn't say.
- This is my favourite piano piece. William Joseph is only the arranger/performer in this instance. It was originally a song by Marta Keen (check it out, the lyrics are as beautiful as the melody). But in this case it works just as well piano-only.
- If I'm stressed, this calms me down in exactly 4 seconds. The rythmn is similar to that of calm breathing and I expect your brainwave speed comes into play somewhere.
- The orchestra that starts to come in gently around halfway through...
