'Homeward Bound' by William Joseph

This was introduced to me byjgkimmyback in about 2005-ish.

Things To Say:
  1. Whenever I listen to this piece, which isn't that often, I'm transported right back to that time in my life.  It was an interesting time for me in that I was suddenly growing up all in a big rush.  I was learning so much about myself and about the world in general.  It's a time I look back on now with great fondness.  I remember it being so transformative, but now it feels such a long time ago.  Like it was someone else.  In fact, choosing this song yesterday, I was inspired to look back through my LJ from that era.  There is so much in there that I suddenly remember.  But I also remember all the things I didn't say.
  2. This is my favourite piano piece.  William Joseph is only the arranger/performer in this instance.  It was originally a song by Marta Keen (check it out, the lyrics are as beautiful as the melody).  But in this case it works just as well piano-only.
  3. If I'm stressed, this calms me down in exactly 4 seconds.  The rythmn is similar to that of calm breathing and I expect your brainwave speed comes into play somewhere.
  4. The orchestra that starts to come in gently around halfway through...
