...Fai-san? [Okay. ;; I'll just be putting the scientist lady to bed before coming back to the kitchen area place thing to wash up a bit. You can barge in whenever, doors open actually.]
[Well, even in all my panic and worry, I'm not going to just barge in on you, that's pretty rude. So I'll knock on the door a couple of minutes later and just... be here all djhkdhkjfd]
WHY WASN'T THERE A NOTIF FOR THIS ONE! /raegs at ljdestinedpersonApril 30 2009, 22:02:00 UTC
[You sure that's not the awkward talking?]
Fai-san... Hello.

[hjgsdhsdhg He sees it, but you seem unhurt otherwise, so he won't really make a deal out of it. He goes over and places comforting hands on your shoulders and offers a small smile.]
I'm glad you made it back, Syaoran-kun...
[He pauses, closing his eyes for a moment and thinking.]

[That's alright. Loli!mom has that covered later. Plus he's really too exhausted to stop you if you do anything. But hey, you get a tiny tired smile back.]
I'm glad to be back. I-- [fff D-dizzy so he wobbles a bit and places his hands on your arms to steady himself. When he gets that precious balance again he's gonna slowly let go of you there.]
I'm really tired... [And my comm is beeping with replies over there on the table. Shit! Musters up some kind of strength and moves away from the door to let you in.] Please come in, Fai-san.

[Holds you steady, because I don't want not!son to fall. But totally giving you the worried face again now.] Syaoran-kun should get some rest...
[He trails off, slowly following you into the apartment and looking around. He closes the door, but stays close, just in case you pass out or something.]
I will soon. I promise. [After I answer those people and make sure they really ARE alive and are unhurt. So goes over to his comm, managing to not stagger or wobble thank you, to pick it up and reply to them as he talks with you.]
Fai-san...Was everything okay here? [...Sits down now, head lowered but holding the comm loosely as he awaits more replies.] We left quickly after that boy asked us to save his sister so I didn't get to see if anyone was alright. And those ghosts...
[He pauses for a moment and waits, letting him answer the people he needs to. When he speaks, he smiles softly]
Ah, don't worry about that, Syaoran-kun. Everyone stayed safe while you were gone! Sakura-chan was a bit spooked, so the other Syaoran-kun brought her up to our room for a while.
[For another moment, he pauses again. This time, his eyes close and he grows a bit more serious - a rare move for Fai. His tone drops a bit when he speaks.]
Next time, if there is one, at least let us know before you go. Let one of us come with you.
[He listens quietly as Fai speaks. And is visibly relieved to know that Syaoran took care of Sakura like he promised he would.]
I knew he would protect her if anything happened... That all of you would actually.
[He doesn't smile but on the inside he's happy for it.
When Fai begins to speak again, he notes the lower tone and is suddenly much more aware of what he'd done. Was Fai angry with...? Y-yes, of course, he'd be. Syaoran is after all aware that the older man has a right to be after breaking his promise and just leaving like that. S-sigh. He feels guilty again.]
I understand and I'm sorry, Fai-san. Next time, for sure, I won't break my promise.
[Of course he was a bit angry about it, but Fai was used to Discedo. He knew these things happened. He was just as angry at the other Syaoran when he fought Kamui and was killed, and even more so when Kurogane went off and fought Kamui as well.
It was his nature. Both Syaorans, Kurogane, and especially Fai were his only family. So when they were in the line of fire, he worried. He hate little value for his own life, but it didn't mean he didn't value theirs.
In response to Syaoran's words, he offered a caring smile before moving towards the boy. He leaned down slightly, placing his palm on either cheek and letting his fingers intertwined with the strands of brown hair for a moment. As he began to speak, the darker tone was completely gone from his voice, replaced with a much softer, sympathetic tone.]
Sometimes these things happen. Syaoran-kun shouldn't beat himself up over it. But Kuro-daddy and myself are always here - and we'd like to help you when we can. You don't have to do these things alone.
[The words reassured him more than anything ever could in that moment. His friends, though from the past, were still the same as ever. Fai-san was still Fai-san even if he had not reached Syaoran's 'time' yet.
He smiled. A genuine one as he looked up towards the older man. He understood and promised silently to himself that in the future he would start accepting their help once again. But first...] Thank you. But you, too, should know that you are not alone anymore.
[Syaoran had heard those words said once before from Fai-san, but now would he accept them again from someone else?]
[Hearing Syaoran's words struck a chord with him; it was always strange and surprising when anyone said things like that to him. Even after all that had happened, how he had changed, and how everyone around him had changed, it still never sat well with him. Fai found it hard to value himself, so seeing other people value him as much as they seemed to made him uncomfortable.
His eyes had widened just for a moment before falling back into the comfortable smile, offering it to Syaoran.]
