Seven brand new stories - 17,000 words of fic, you guys!
So, for those of you who weren't around during December and/or the holidays and missed this extravaganza - I wrote seven stories for the prompts people gave me. 17,161 words of new fan fiction! It's a miracle. It's the only writing I did all year, so yay me. Some gen, some slash; some holiday-related, some not. Three MCU stories with completely different focuses (Steve and Sam; Tony and Rhodey; Steve/Thor). 6,100 words of Star Wars (Finn/Poe). A 00Q story that found its audience, despite that fandom being tiny and existing only on tumblr. A Hornblower/Bush ficlet. And a very satisfying Merlin/Arthur post-canon story which was a tad dark.
It was nice to be writing again. Posting, however, was difficult, and let's not talk about the struggle to pick titles and write summaries, and then post notices about stories that people didn't know were there. (How does one even find the people who want to read stuff these days? It's a mystery.) Except for the Steve and Sam, and the 00Q; those, people found, or the timing was right, or something. But Finn/Poe? Not so much. Better luck next time. People don't seem to like darker Merlin stories, either. Especially on Christmas Eve. Happy Arthur's Death Day! *g* (Protip: don't post your only stories of the entire year during the holidays and Yuletide if they're not Yuletide stories, duh.)
