I wanted to make a vid which takes Die Hard seriously, and shows the weariness a man like John McClane might endure after a couple decades of being 'that guy' who saves the world and various people in it, including the people he loves (over, and over, and over). He is the most ordinary of heroes, but the movies sometimes really fail to show us the toll that takes emotionally, nor just physically. The gift here could refer to his ability to attract trouble, or be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or his ability to intervene to save his loved ones, or...yeah, lots of things. He's always running, but to save people, or away from the people he's lost or is losing? Hard to say.
