Happy New Year!
Hope everyone out there had an excellent new year, and that 2013 brings you marvelous things! This is the last day of my vacation, woe.
News of the day:
- Merlin 5x13 post-finale story has just crested 11,500 words and it's not quite done, and the last 6000 words aren't working, and I had a tiny meltdown about it just now. FML. But I think I can fix it. Maybe. WRITING IS HARD.
- Yuletide reveals are up. I wrote The Instruments of War. Fandom is The Lion in Winter; pairing is Philip II of France/Richard I of England (Richard the Lionheart). I guess technically, it's 12th century RPF. Go me.
- I also received two (!!!!!!!) gift stories: The Upper Hand, a gen Rat Patrol story by Nomad (nomadicwriter); and Ab Irato, Veritas, a gen Rome story by bluenewmoon. I am a lucky, lucky girl. :D
- I just had steak tips with pasta and gorgonzola cheese sauce for late lunch/early dinner, and it was yummy. Later I'll have a cupcake. Then I'll go back to writing. Yep.
