All sorts of things on a Sunday
Good morning out there. By 7:15 AM I had already put gas in the car, grocery shopped, walked two miles, and cleaned the kitchen. 15 - which pairing does random song remind me of: OK, the first thing that came up on random shuffle was The Wild Song by Anuna, which reminds me of Marcus/Esca from The Eagle. The second was All the Love in the World by Nine Inch Nails, which, hm. Sort of reminds me of Faith/Buffy, or mostly Faith thinking of Buffy. But it also makes me think of Jack/David from Kings, from Jack's POV. The more I listen, the more it reminds me of Jack and his jealousy/resentment and his issues.
23 - Five fave characters from five different fandoms:
a) Lydia from Southland - because she is a flawed human being who also happens to be a compassionate, dedicated cop. She takes no crap at all, and she is a difficult person, and she loves her family and her job, and I just heart her totally.
b) Gwaine from Merlin - because he follows his own path, and when he finally found someone worth sticking around for, he committed his whole heart and his loyalty in the space of a heartbeat. And also because he's gorgeous and a badass.
c) Teal'c from SG-1 - because he's smart and complicated and badass and devoted to doing the right thing, after a lifetime of committing horrifying atrocities. And he loves his family (which includes his team) so much he would give his life for any of them in an instant, and he's full of honor and pride and regret, and just thinking about him makes me wish I was still in SG-1 fandom.
d) Scully from X-Files - because there is no universe in which she is not awesome. Enough said.
e) Lucius Vorenus from Rome - because he is a principled, battle-hardened soldier (aka a stone cold killer), prickly and clam-like and terrible with people, who was so tough he actually scared his own wife until he learned to gentle himself - and yet he would die for his friends or his beliefs in a heartbeat. He has one of the most amazing character arcs I've ever seen on a show.
