Smallville vid recs (in honor of Finale Week!)
It is Smallville finale week! I took the plunge into SV fandom in April, 2002. At that time, it was a list and archive fandom, for the most part, and it was also huge. It was the fandom that ate fandom. For a long time, my default icon was a b/w Lex icon. That was a long time ago, but - I'm still looking forward to seeing how it all ends. So in honor of the finale, I gathered up links to some of my all-time favorite SV vids. Some are tasty classics, and some are new and destined to be classics, IMO.
Without You I Am Nothing by sisabet, from 2004. My favorite Clark/Lex vid. Actually, I think of it as a Lex vid, mostly, but still. Favorite. Bar none. The first 1,000 times I watched this, I teared up every time.
Change (In the House of Flies) by obsessive24, from 2006. Another stunning Clark/Lex vid. Shivery good and super creepy.
Intergalactic Friends by bananainpyjamas from 2008.
Bad Romance by sisabet, from 2010. The summary is: Lex Luthor does not want to be friends! And that's kind of perfect. *g*
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me by bop_radar, from 2010. I think this vid is best summed up as, Oliver Queen is hot.
Unsound by fan_eunice, from 2010. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!
That's Not My Name by talitha78, from 2009. Considering that it took the show 10 years to get to the point where Clark Kent is really an "identity", I'd say this vid is timely!
Shed Your Skin by astolat, from sometime around 2002 or 2003. This was a first season vid, which really highlighted the way Lex came on to Clark pretty much incessantly. Seduction! That's what season one was actually about. In its own wholesome WB way.
