SG-1 rec, flist trimming, miscellany
I should mention that I've done a little bit of flist trimming this weekend. For the most part I've trimmed off journals that haven't been updated in quite some time, as well a few journals of folks whose fannish interests have diverged so much from mine that we don't really interact anymore. I'll probably be adding some journals, eventually.
Sad news this weekend; most folks have heard already that Don Knotts has died, but Darren McGavin has also died. Coincidentally, I just bought the Kolchak - The Night Stalker DVD set a few weeks ago. My dad and I used to watch those late at night when they aired in repeats; he loved the show, and I have always loved the show's combination of silly and scary. McGavin was perfect as Kolchak. That's why I couldn't get into the slick, boring remake of it this past season. McGavin is also immortal as Ralphie's dad in A Christmas Story. Anyway, very sad.
cereta has been keeping a master list of Notcapade posts. Plenty of interesting reading there. I had good intentions, re posting some meta about Brokeback Mountain for discussion, but I ran out of time. However, I have all sorts of interesting goodies I've been collecting re Brokeback Mountain, some of which have not been widely seen, and I'm going to share some of them next week.
