Sorry I suck at life apparently...
So, I tried to have a nice, drama-free New Year's party at my house for a few of my friends. I invited Mike and Kelsey because they are my friends, and I invited Erin because she is my friend too. (Mike and Erin dated, but broke up about 2 years ago - but they still get along, and Kelsey is Mike's new girlfriend of 2 months). I asked them if they had a problem with the other person being there, and they told me no. So, I invited the three of them and everyone else I wanted to be there. Everything was fine until Mike and Kelsey arrived.
They got there before Erin, but after a few other people. Mike asked me if Erin was really coming, and I said that she mentioned that she would stop by. He got all pissed off, which in turn pissed Kelsey off. She proceeded to talk about wanting to beat Erin up, even though she's never met her. That did not give her a good first impression with the rest of our friends, but everyone let it slide.
Just after midnight Erin showed up. After a little while Charlie decided that he wanted to go in the hot tub and he asked who wanted to go with him. Erin immediately jumped up and said she wanted to go. Katie went to. Kelsey was angry at him because I think she wanted to go in the hot tub, but she didn't want to go if Erin was in there. She ended up being pissed at Charlie until they went and had a talk in the other room. When Charlie approached her after she gave him a pissed look, all she had to say was "you know what you did". He just went in the hot tub, sorry that Erin decided to go with. Erin left shortly after that.
Kelsey then proceeded to be pissed the entire night and just clung to Mike. She wouldn't even talk to me or look at me. This continued the next morning. We all woke up and started talking, but she faced the completely opposite direction of me. Then Mike had to leave by 12, so they got up to leave. If I hadn't gotten up to say goodbye she would have just walked out the damn door without saying anything. That's pretty shitty.
If you have an issue with me, bring it up. I didn't do a damn thing to you. Sorry that I invited another friend to my party. I don't understand why that is such a hard concept to grasp. If you have a problem with me, I'll respect you a hell of a lot more if you bring it up right away and we can have a mature discussion about it. Instead she proceeds to be pissed at me and hasn't talked to me either in person, on the phone, or online. However, she has been online all day. Also, she proceeded to post a bulletin on myspace and made a comment about how I am horrible.
