Scholarship

Well...it all started two days ago when I checked the mail. I had another letter from Eastern Michigan University - which I had assumed was going to be another letter about how they are changing the security on campus. I opened up the letter and I was completely surprised. I had recieved the Regent's Scholarship for transfer students. I will get $1,500 per semester until I graduate and all I have to do to keep it is maintain a 3.5 GPA. That was really good news, the only downfall was that I needed to take 15 credit hours per semester. That's where the bad news came in. Back in May I made an appointment with a counselor and registered for my classes. I already had a total of 5 classes, one class was only worth 2 credits, but I needed it for graduation. Also, according to the letter, I only had until the 27th to reply as to whether or not I accepted the scholarship. I only wanted to go to classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays because I wouldn't have to drive out to the campus as much, so I went online and started my search. I tried for over an hour to try to mess around with my schedule and make other classes fit in, but my day is already extremely long (9:30-4:45) not to mention all of the time driving to and from school. I also have an online class, so that's not including the time I need to do that work. I managed to find another online class that fulfills another requirement I need for graduation. So I guess I am happy that I was able to accept the scholarship - but I'm not looking forward to 6 classes and 17 credit hours.
